As inaccurately reported by the Sun newspaper recently, the registration CR 7 has NOT been purchased by Cristiano Ronaldo for the sum that they quoted.
The registration mark we can confirm is still sitting proudly on a silver Bentley Continental GTC which belongs to a very good long standing client and friend of ours based in Scotland.
The CR 7 is not the only personalised registration that our client owns either, his passion for performance cars and investing in personalised registrations, saw him purchase another short CR personalised registration from ourselves a few years back.
Why would Ronaldo want personalised registration number CR 7 ?
The reason that Cristiano Ronaldo has such a fascination with the CR 7 plate, is due to the fact that he wears the number 7 shirt for Manchester United. Cristiano Ronaldo also has a fashion boutique that he opened in 2006 called CR7.
The CR7 boutique is located in his home town of Funchal, Portugal where he was born. He also has plans to open a club under the same CR7 branding. It is reported that Ronaldo, “Is obsessed with the CR7 branding and wants it on everything he has”.
