Who are the DVLA?
The DVLA are the governing body who are responsible for regulating vehicle registration in the UK. They are also the official body who handle the issue of vehicle documentation, such as the V5C Registration Certificate (known by most people as a log book). Each and every vehicle on the highway must have a V5C.
The official DVLA headquarters is in Swansea, however there are also a number of local DVLA offices situated throughout the United Kingdom.

The DVLA (Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency) have several local Vehicle Registration Offices (also known as VRO’s) throughout the UK.
Most of the local offices have opening hours of Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. The VRO’s are usually located in major towns or cities, to locate the one nearest yourself take a look down the list below:
