The ‘make your own’ style of personalised registration marks are our budget range.
We have 1000’s of combinations for you to choose from on both the prefix style and the current style of registration. You can select letters and numbers of your choice on both styles of registration.
The make your own style personalised registrations give you the option to personalise your vehicle with your initials, name, hobby, car model etc without having to spend thousands of pounds. They also make excellent affordable gifts.
We can handle the full transfer of the new registration mark for you through DVLA, or if you prefer, we can supply your new personalised registration number on a retention certificate. This will enable you to have your registration assigned to a vehicle of your choice at a later date.
Our ‘make your own’ search system.
On our homepage you will find the two seperate make your own search boxes. Each box is different as one search is for PREFIX style and the other is for the CURRENT STYLE.
PREFIX STYLE ‘make your own’ plates
These are suitable for vehicles which were registered on or after 1st August 1983.
With the prefix style you have the option of selecting various letters and numbers.
An example of a prefix style plate would be such as HI JEL
STEP 1
Choose the first prefix LETTER age on the number plate from the drop down menu.
STEP 2
Then select your preferred NUMBER from the drop down menu.
STEP 3
Finally type 3 LETTERS in the box and click search.
Please note that you cannot make your vehicle appear newer than it is, for example you cannot transfer registration mark Y22 TRV onto vehicle S354 UYW as the vehicle is older. If you are unsure of what the release dates are for the prefix style then click here.
CURRENT STYLE ‘make your own’ plates.
These are suitable for vehicles which were registered on or after 1st September 2001.
With the current style you have the option of selecting various letters and numbers.
An example of a current style plate would be such as PR04 YOO
STEP 1
Choose the first two LETTERS on the number plate from the drop down menu.
STEP 2
Then select your preferred age NUMBER from the drop down menu.
STEP 3
Finally type 3 LETTERS in the box and click search.
Please note that you cannot make your vehicle appear newer than it is, for example you cannot transfer registration mark XX55 COT onto vehicle UY53 WHG as the vehicle is older. If you are unsure of what the release dates are for the current style then click here.
Search results.
After you have performed a search for you chosen registration mark a list of results will appear. You will be presented with your exact combination IF we have it available.
If your exact combination is not on the market for sale, our system which uses artificial intelligence will present you with a set of results focused around your original requirements.
PLEASE NOTE: The number and letter combinations you are able to select from are subject to availability.
Search tips.
If you are looking for a personalised number plate to represent a close match to a name or word, unless you have a 3 letter name such as GEM, you will need to substitute various letters for numbers.
