Phonetic alphabet
Prefer to order by telephone?
As a lot of individual letters sound similar such as ‘M’ and ‘N’ the personalised registration industry will use what is called the ‘phonetic alphabet’ when dealing with registration marks.
Using the phonetic alphabet saves any confusion between the buyer and the seller when handling orders for personalised registrations over the telephone.
So how does the phonetic alphabet work?
For your reference below, we have listed the full phonetic alphabet which will ensure that mistakes are not made when dealing with orders via telephone. By using phonetics we both know the registration that is being ordered is the correct one.
With phonetics the number element is always spoken as it would be. Refer to the example below if you are usure of how we would use phonetics to confirm an order with a customer, or, click on the video clip to hear the phonetic alphabet from A to Z.
